Honda’s CR-V Hybrid will cost less than £30,000 when it hits UK roads this February.

Prices for the five-seat mid-size SUV start at £29,105 for the entry-level front-wheel-drive model, rising to £37,255 for top-spec all-wheel-drive version. This makes it a very tempting proposition for any motorists keen to combine the benefits of a high-riding all-terrain-conquering SUV with the fuel-saving capacity of a hybrid.
Carbon emissions for the front-wheel-drive CR-V Hybrid dip as low as 120g/km, climbing slightly to 126g/km. Equipment will be spread over four trim levels: S, SE, SR and EX.
Every new CR-V Hybrid comes with Honda’s suite of safety features. This includes collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
Stepping up to SE adds parking sensors and a rear view camera, while the SR and EX feature blind spot warning and cross traffic monitoring.
SR grade also adds smart entry and start, leather interior and active cornering lights, while EX further includes a heated steering wheel, head up display, hands free access power tailgate, heated rear seats and panoramic glass sunroof.
Phil Webb, head of car at Honda UK, said: “The CR-V hybrid is the first step in achieving our objective of electrified powertrains accounting for two-thirds of our European sales by 2025.
“In a marketplace that is going to become increasingly competitive as time goes on, the CR-V is well placed to achieve strong sales results and we have high expectations for this car.”
Jess Wort, marketing manager at the Green Journey, adds: Honda has a range of desirable and practical cars and it’s great to see hybrid technology being implemented in them so effectively.”
